Strawberry Cake
1 box of white cake mix
1 box of strawberry Jell-O
3/4 C. oil
1/3 C. water
4 eggs, added one at a time
1/2 C. frozen, sweetened strawberries
Mix in the order given. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
Strawberry Icing
1 box of powdered sugar
1 stick of butter, melted
1/2 box of frozen, sweetened strawberries
Beat until smooth. Ice cooled cake.
My Mom and I were talking about this cake, a couple of weeks ago. I have given the recipe to friends, who have in turn, made it one of their family favorites. Today, on my Mom's birthday (and what would have been my Dad's birthday), I am posting this recipe, knowing that he would have loved celebrating with this cake!
